Anniversary Card

It's my parents 48th wedding anniversary on Monday, so I thought I'd better knuckle down and get a card made.  For some reason I felt that giraffes were appropriate, not sure why, but in the last few days i've seen a few cards on the web that had giraffes and I really liked them.

This is what I came up with.

It's an 8" x 8" scalloped edge card blank using Bazoo decoupage and Bazoo backing papers.  The giraffe background paper was edged in Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink and mounted onto some brown bazill card.  The scalloped heart was downloaded from the Cricut Craftroom and again edged in Tea Dye distress ink.  The label and shadow were from Cricut Elegant Edges and stamped with a Hobby Art Stamp and wrapped up in Dovecraft ribbon across the bottom. Oh, and some Craftwork Candi Safari Giraffe to add a little something to the edges!

I shall put it in the post tomorrow, I hope they like it.

Thanks for looking.

Art Deco Card

A friend asked me to make her sister a 50th Birthday card and the only guidance I was given was that she likes art deco, so off I headed into my craft room and came up with this....

Believe it or not, there was not a Cricut in sight when I made this!  I had a CD with art deco images on and so I printed out a few, the dress is decoupaged but it looks flat in this picture, there are several layers of black and silver and some bling down the sides for a bit more pazazz!  It was very simple, but quite effective I think.

Thanks for looking
