Thank You Card

I needed to make a Thank You card for my Mum as she came down and stayed for a week during the school holiday to look after my munchkin, although I think she spent more time with Buckley than she did with Joshua!

Anyway, my Mum is a card maker too, so I had to make something extra-special as she will examine it at close quarters to see how I made it (yes, just like the rest of us crafters would do!) and then she will love it (hopefully!).  The problem was to come up with something that was a little bit special, so I went over to Valentines website (you must check it out if you haven't already) and had a look through the cards Clair has made looking for inspiration, but instead of getting inspiration, I'm ashamed to admit it, I just blatantly copied one she had already made (thanks Clair) as it was just gorgeous.

Using the SU Rose Is A Rose stamp set, stamped the flowers and leaves and I had bought some diamante swirls from Ribbon Girl, cut off the swirls that I needed and stuck these on too.  I also stamped the greeting and using SU punches punched out the scallop and oval shapes and stuck that on too.  This card is very time consuming and expensive to make, the stamping takes quite some time and of course the expense of the diamante swirls, so you wouldn't give this card to just anyone, but as it was for my Mum, it was worth it.

I hope you like Clair's design!
